DescriptionPermanent position for a Mechanical Design Engineer to design machinery from initial layout to creating BOMs.
Interface with machinists to drive the manufacturing process.
Work with various manufacturing techniques and machine shop practices, including conventional and CNC machines.
Work with lathes,milling machines, drilling, EDM, grinding and metal cutting machining.
Determine machining rates and work with high speed tooling and carbide tipped tools.
Work with various alloys and stainless steels.
Determine heat treatments and welding practices.
RequirementsBS Mechanical EngineeringMinimum 3 years experience with machine design.
Requires knowledge of manufacturing techniques and machine shop practices.
Understanding of both conventional and CNC machines, including lathes, milling machines drilling, EDM, grinding and metal cutting.
Knowledge of machining rates, high speed tooling and carbide tipped tools.
Knowledge of alloys and stainless steels.
Knowledge of heat treatments and welding practices.
Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot electrical circuitry and PLC controls.
